Dr. John Marzluff of the UW has a new student working on a new bird study in the
area. His student is working on Pileated Woodpeckers. He is banding and in some cases radio tagging individuals. He will be driving in a silver Toyota Tundra most of
the time and walking around with an H-shaped antennae. He will knock at doors and get permission to access private property. If you need to you can ask for id, he has a card. His name is Jorge and he is from Chile, so he has a thick accent. He will be working in the Ponderosa Acres / Horse Country / Highland Vista / Montare area with this study. Questions? 360/668-2195
